The use of essential oils in 185 patients with pain

We applied essential oil blends of Pain(contains essential oils of sage, lavender, and others), Circulation(contains essential oils of birch, clove, peppermint and others) and Peppermint in 185 patients with pain. Pain was due to:

1- Cancer

2- Injury

3- Trauma

4- Arthitis

5- Back, neck, shoulder, knee

6- Headaches

The oils were applied directly over the affected areas using 3-5 drops of each preparation. The pain dissapeared completely in 50% of the patients. The pain decresed markedly in intensity in an additional 39% of the patients. Fifty eight percent of the patients were taking narcotics and the need for the medication was reduced by one half. The oils started working(i.e., decrease in pain) in all patients in less than 15 minutes after the first application. Of the patients with back, neck, shoulder, head , knee and wrist pain, all had a complete resolution of the pain within 15 minutes after the first application. The effects continue weeks to months after repeated daily applications and the pain is permanently resolved in 80% of the patients with non-cancer related pain.

LAVENDER OIL

The use of essential oil of lavender in the healing of open wounds and ulcers in 210 patients

We used the essential oil of lavender in 210 patients with open skin wounds. In one study, 37 patients were randomized to use lavender oil in one half of the open wound and triple antibiotic cream on the other half. All patients healed faster, with a better cosmetic result, without burning pain on contact or requirement of any dressing with the lavender oil. The results were obtained so fast that all patients stopped the triple antibiotic cream to use the lavender on the whole wound

There were 21 patients with pressure ulcers from being in bed for prolonged periods of time. All had been treated with no success. After applying essential oil of lavender directly on the ulcers, all patients healed completely with no recurrence.

Of the remaining 152 patients, all healed from wounds due to trauma, radiation burns, burns or surgery with an excellent cosmetic result.
